We’re all living in an era where sensory overload is the norm. Our mind is racing a mile a minute and our urge to answer those constant pings and notifications never seems to stop.  Most studies I’ve read say we have somewhere between 60,000 – 80,000 thoughts each day, many subconscious of course, but that’s staggering.

How to adult when all you want to do is #RoséAllDay

Summer weather is finally here.  If you live in the Pacific Northwest, you know it’s been a long grey winter and this sunshine is much appreciated.

My biggest struggle is no longer pulling the shortest straw for who has to take the dogs out during a wet monsoon-esque rainstorm, but rather, focusing on work and not being tempted by what my friends are doing in their Instagram photos: lounging on a beach with that beautiful Turkish towel sprinkled with charcuterie, glasses of rosé, and a bocce set.  (We’ve all seen it right?)

An onset of FOMO (fear of missing out) immediately kicks in.

I’d be laughed at if I said I had to get out of the big city for the weekend to relax on a remote island.  I live in Victoria.  It’s also known as the Garden City, and I feel pretty grateful to live there.
